LACOR HOSPITAL: A PLACE PEOPLE TRUST
For more than 20 years, Iris has worked at Lacor Hospital.
Today, she helps oversee payroll and financial operations that keep the hospital running. But her connection to Lacor began long before she joined the staff.
Iris grew up in Northern Uganda during years of conflict. Her family was displaced, and some of her classmates were abducted by rebel forces. Like many people in the region, she experienced the effects of the conflict firsthand.
When Iris talks about Lacor, she describes it as her home and her family.
After earning a diploma in business administration, she joined Lacor as a cashier. Over the years, she built a career there, helped support the education of her brothers and sisters, and eventually purchased land and built a home through the hospital's employee cooperative.
For Iris, Lacor has been more than an employer. It has been part of her life story. And that is true for many families across Northern Uganda.
People come to Lacor because they know it. They trust it. Many have relied on the hospital for years, sometimes for generations.
At Social Promise, we look for partners that are deeply rooted in the communities they serve. Lacor Hospital is one of those places.
Your support helps sustain an institution that Northern Ugandans have relied on for decades. It helps ensure that families continue to have access to quality care regardless of their ability to pay.
When you support Lacor, you are not simply funding services. You are investing in a hospital that has earned the trust of the community it serves.
