Pediatric Resident at the University of Minnesota Medical School

Mary Ann Etling is a pediatric resident at the University of Minnesota Medical School. After graduating from DePauw University with degrees in global health and biochemistry, she was awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student scholarship to conduct research in affiliation with St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor in Gulu, Uganda. While living at Lacor Hospital for nine months, Mary Ann studying the impact of disability on families and evaluated programs designed to empower these families. Her interest in this field arose from her own experience in a family impacted by disability. She joined the Board of Social Promise in 2019.
