In a remarkable step towards sustainability, Lacor Hospital in Uganda has earned the prestigious EKOenergy ecolabel certification, making it the first energy user in the country to achieve this distinction.

In honor of Patient Safety Day, I want to share a story that highlights the extraordinary dedication and care provided by the staff at Lacor Hospital. At Lacor, the well-being and safety of patients are not just priorities; they are the essence of the hospital's mission.

At Lacor Hospital, blood is in high demand. “We are facing a severe shortage. The supply we get from the regional blood bank is not even a quarter of what we use within the hospital,” says Richard Ojara, a Laboratory Technician at the Lacor.

Lacor Hospital provides free cancer treatment to children and at subsidized rates to all other patients.
